When painting pet portraits, I work from photographs. These need to be taken down on the level with the pet and preferably in early morning or late afternoon light. The expression in the eyes is very important for me to capture the essence of the animal. Take the picture fairly close, and be sure the pet is in focus. PRICING – Prices vary based on medium, size and complexity. A typical example would be pastel on paper with a 9″ x 12” image which is matted to 11″ x 14” for $300. Add $50 for each additional pet in the painting. This amount does not include framing, shipping or NC tax (when applicable). PAYMENTS – A 50% non-refundable deposit is required, with remainder due before shipment. Preprinted checks or Paypal is accepted.
